The closest neighborhoods in the same city.
Bade's commercial activity is concentrated around Danan, not where the district office is located. Danan is a neighborhood that grew up along both sides of Jieshou Road Section 1; near Dacheng Elementary School you'll find the old commercial area around Danan Market and Minhe Theater, while further north there's the newer shopping area around Guangfeng Xintiandi. Heading south to Danan Forest Park, the Bakuaicuo Folk Art Village inside the park has converted old military buildings into exhibition halls for Minnan and folk culture, and admission is free.
Among Taoyuan's 11 neighborhoods, this one ranks 4th for healthcare and 5th for daily shopping — both in the middle. For groceries you can go to Danan Market, and for a walk, Danan Forest Park. The Bade Civil Sports Center is just outside the neighborhood to the east, on Guoji Road. If you're driving, it's about 5 to 10 minutes from around Danan Station to the Danan Interchange on Freeway No. 2.
There's currently no rail station here, and public transportation ranks 11th, so commuting means relying on buses or your own vehicle. An underground station for the Green Line is being built along Jieshou Road — construction on G04 Danan Station started back in 2019 — but it won't be usable until the main line opens.
Bade was originally called Bakuaicuo; the name was changed to Bakuai in 1920, and then to Bade in 1936. It became Bade City in 1995, and after Taoyuan became a special municipality in 2014, it was reorganized as Bade District. Danan Forest Park used to be the Ministry of National Defense's Longteng Base; it was handed over to the National Police Agency's First Special Police Corps in 1987, and after the unit moved out in August 2017, it was transferred to the city government. The Bakuaicuo Folk Art Village inside the park was established in October 2022.
MRT Green Line Station G04 Danan, located on Jieshou Road Section 2, will be a transfer station between the Green Line and the Sanying Line. According to the Department of Rapid Transit Systems' current timeline, the northern section from Kengkou to the Art and Cultural District is set to open first in 2026, with the main line not opening until 2030. The Sanying Line's extension into Bade was approved in August 2025; its terminus will connect with G04 for transfers, with opening expected in August 2034.

Maps show the shops and the sights. What a street is like, you only know by walking it. TidyMap uses AI street imagery analysis and public facility data to turn each area's street environment and everyday convenience into something you can compare. Search an address and look at the street outside first.

TidyMap rates the street environment and everyday convenience. It does not assess the home itself, safety, noise or actual living experience. Street environment scores use AI assessments of imagery; convenience scores use public facility data.
