Touqianzhuang Station, where two MRT lines meet, by a wide tree-lined boulevard in a reorganised development zone
The closest neighborhoods in the same city.
Touqian is a newly developed land-readjustment area. Touqian Road runs east–west, 40 meters wide, and is a tree-lined boulevard that cuts through the land-readjustment area. For groceries there's Zhongmei Market and a Carrefour supermarket, and for a stroll you've got Huacheng Park and Touqian Sports Park, all within the neighborhood. On the western edge, Siyuan Road is also a tree-lined boulevard, 50 meters wide, with the Circular Line running above it. Head south along Siyuan Road to the intersection with Zhongzheng Road and you'll reach Touqianzhuang Station, where the Xinzhuang Line and the Circular Line meet, so you can transfer within the station.
Besides Touqianzhuang Station, Xingfu Station, one stop north on the Circular Line, is also within the neighborhood. That helps transportation rank 17th out of New Taipei's 100 neighborhoods, putting it in the upper half. Based on street-view photos, cleanliness ranks 24th, so the streets are pretty tidy. If you want to go a bit farther, Touqian Road connects eastward to Xingde Road in Sanchong, forming a green corridor you can follow past the levee all the way to the Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park.
The eastern side of the neighborhood sits right next to an industrial area. Healthcare ranks 38th out of New Taipei's 100 neighborhoods, landing in the middle of the pack; that said, the Ministry of Health and Welfare Taipei Hospital, right next to Touqianzhuang Station on Siyuan Road, is within the neighborhood. The Xingfu Road area has grown into a new shopping district, but it's west of Siyuan Road, so you'll need to step outside the neighborhood to browse it.
From the late Qing dynasty through the early Japanese colonial period, the Touqian area was a village called Touqianzhuang, and that's where the MRT station gets its name. Huacheng Road, within the neighborhood, is named in honor of the Qing dynasty general Chen Huacheng. Near the end of World War II, the Governor-General's Office relocated factories from Taipei City to Xinzhuang, marking the start of Xinzhuang's industrial development. After the war, the Touqian Industrial Park was established along Huacheng Road, becoming one of the turning points in Xinzhuang's transformation into an industrial city. Entering the 21st century, the Touqian land-readjustment area and Xinzhuang Fuduxin were developed one after another, turning Xinzhuang into a metropolitan subcenter packed with offices and businesses. The Xinzhuang Line opened in January 2012, bringing Touqianzhuang Station into service, and the Circular Line followed in January 2020.

Maps show the shops and the sights. What a street is like, you only know by walking it. TidyMap uses AI street imagery analysis and public facility data to turn each area's street environment and everyday convenience into something you can compare. Search an address and look at the street outside first.
How to read it: yellow = poor, blue = good; grey = not enough data
TidyMap rates the street environment and everyday convenience. It does not assess the home itself, safety, noise or actual living experience. Street environment scores use AI assessments of imagery; convenience scores use public facility data.
