01First impressions

This neighborhood is a new community that has been handing over units gradually since 2015. The A7 Affordable Housing Project alone planned 4,463 units. To get around, walk to the Airport MRT's National Taiwan Sport University Station, directly below Wenhua 1st Road; its secondary station name is "Guishan Leshan". For school, kids head down Leshan 2nd Road — Wenqing Junior High and Elementary School is right in the neighborhood.

02What works

The environment is this area's biggest strength — among Taoyuan's 11 neighborhoods, it ranks 1st for street environment. It also ranks 1st for greenery. The station takes its name from National Taiwan Sport University, up the slope to the south; it's an underground station because the line has to climb along the terrain of the Linkou Plateau.

03Heads-up

Everyday conveniences are still catching up — it ranks 9th for convenience, and 9th for healthcare, third from the bottom among Taoyuan's 11 neighborhoods. Not far west of the station is Guishan Third Cemetery, so it's worth taking a walk around when you're checking out properties. This neighborhood roughly corresponds to Phase 1 of the A7 Station Area; the "A7" that the housing market refers to is bigger, extending south to the hilly area around National Taiwan Sport University and Chang Gung University. North across Huaya Technology Park is Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.

04A bit of history

In September 2008, the county government announced the station's official name — the originally planned "Tiyu Yuanqu" (Sports Park) was changed to "Tiyu Daxue" (Sport University), to avoid confusion with the Taoyuan Sports Park Station. The A7 Affordable Housing Project was incorporated into policy in 2010, planned for 4,463 units, of which 225 are rental units. The entire A7 Station Area covers 236 hectares — 186 hectares in Phase 1 and 50 hectares in Phase 2. The public lottery was completed in July 2013, and units have been handed over gradually since 2015. The Airport MRT opened on March 2, 2017, and A7 National Taiwan Sport University Station opened at the same time.

How are these measured?

Compared against the Taoyuan neighborhoods in this guide; metrics without enough data are not ranked. Shopping counts convenience stores plus the nearer of a supermarket or a traditional market (public and private retail markets); night markets, vendor zones and shopping-street shops are not counted. Transit is rail-first with a lower weight for buses.

TidyMap rates the street environment and everyday convenience. It does not assess the home itself, safety, noise or actual living experience. About data limits
