At the end of the lane is the foot of Hushan, with a stream trail just beyond
The closest neighborhoods in the same city.
The lanes off Fude Street run south all the way to the foot of Hushan (Tiger Mountain); beyond that point there's nothing but the hiking trail. The lanes themselves are residential, and Fude Elementary School and Liugong Junior High School are both in this area. Hushan is one of the Four Beasts Mountains (Xiangshan or Elephant Mountain, Shishan, Baoshan and Hushan), and the government has built trails on it, including the Hushan Hiking Trail. The trail itself lies outside the neighborhood, but you can join it from the end of the lanes.
The Hushan Trail is about 2 kilometres long, and one of its trailheads starts right at Hushan Creek. The forest in the valley and along the stream has recovered especially quickly, and the acacias planted in the past are slowly giving way to natural woodland. School is close for children at the foot of the hill, too: Fude Elementary School's catchment covers all of Zhongxing Village, Zhongpo Village, and Baifu Village, and the school itself is right in the neighborhood. The MRT Xinyi Line has been extended east, and the new Guangci/Fengtian Temple Station opened on 30 August 2026. The station lies beneath the Guangci Bo'ai Park between Lanes 89 and 137 of Fude Street, which belongs to the neighbouring Yongchun & Houshanpi neighborhood.
Trash and street cleanliness rank second from the bottom among Taipei's 73 neighborhoods, this neighborhood's weakest score. Sidewalks rank 68th, so take care walking in the lanes. Renfu Village is in the catchment of Xiude Elementary School, which is in Chengfu Village, outside this neighborhood.
The land Liugong Junior High School sits on has a history tied to irrigation: in 1978 the city government filled in the Zhongpi pond of the Liugong Canal and built a school on the site, and Liugong Junior High School was founded in 1979. This area waited a long time for the MRT. The plan to extend the Xinyi Line east was approved in December 2009, but Guangci/Fengtian Temple Station did not open until 30 August 2026.
Compared with the 73 Taipei neighborhoods in this guide (scores 0–10)
NHI-contracted hospitals, public elementary and junior high schools whose catchment covers this area (estimated from the 2026 school-year village/neighborhood catchment table, treating every neighborhood in a village as equal in size; "Shared catchment" means families there can choose between two or more schools), high schools and universities within 1 km, stations, parks of 1 ha or more, and large shopping malls and department stores.
Maps show the shops and the sights. What a street is like, you only know by walking it. TidyMap uses AI street imagery analysis and public facility data to turn each area's street environment and everyday convenience into something you can compare. Search an address and look at the street outside first.
How to read it: yellow = poor, blue = good; grey = not enough data
TidyMap rates the street environment and everyday convenience. It does not assess the home itself, safety, noise or actual living experience. Street environment scores use AI assessments of imagery; convenience scores use public facility data.
