Three rail systems at one station, with Banping Mountain right behind it
The closest neighborhoods in the same city.
THSR Zuoying Station sees about 59,000 passenger trips a day (2025 figures). TRA Xinzuoying Station shares the same building with it, back to back, and MRT Red Line Zuoying Station is underground on its northeast side. Behind the station is Banping Mountain, and buildings nearby are required by regulation to use the mountain as a backdrop—taller on the west side, gradually stepping down toward the east. Housing sits on the outskirts of the station area, and there are quite a few families with kids: across the three li of Gaotie, Fu'ai, and Fuhua, 14.0% of residents are under 14, higher than Kaohsiung's overall 10.6%. Kids don't even need to leave the neighborhood for school—Wenfu Elementary School and Wenfu Junior High School are right in the residential area northeast of the station.
Healthcare is convenient here—this neighborhood ranks 3rd out of Kaohsiung's 13 neighborhoods for medical access. It ranks 4th for everyday convenience, so you can find most daily necessities around the station area. TRA and THSR connect right inside the station on the 2nd floor concourse—whether you're heading north on the THSR or taking the MRT Red Line into the city, it's all in the same station area.
Sidewalks rank 11th out of the 13 neighborhoods—walkability is a weak point here. There's no direct indoor connection between the MRT and the THSR—you need to walk through a covered outdoor passage from MRT Exit 1. The station special district plus the transfer special district together take up over 10 hectares, so most housing is on the outskirts of the station area. Lotus Pond and Zhouzai Wetland are both outside this neighborhood—don't count them as part of it. Gaotie Li, Fu'ai Li, and Fuhua Li were only newly established in July 2026, so you won't find these li names on older school district tables—make sure to confirm the school district directly.
On January 5, 2007, the THSR line from Banqiao to Zuoying opened, and Zuoying Station began receiving trains. The area around the station used to be Haiguang Village No. 2; the detailed area plan for Aozihdi was revised to change land use in this area to accommodate construction of THSR Zuoying Station. In March 2008, the MRT Red Line opened, with Zuoying Station on this line too.
Compared with the 13 Kaohsiung neighborhoods in this guide (scores 0–10)
Hospitals with inpatient beds (2020 data), public elementary and junior high schools whose catchment covers this area, high schools and universities within 1 km, stations, parks of 1 ha or more, and large shopping malls and department stores. Many Tokyo junior high students attend private schools, so junior high catchments are only a guide.
Maps show the shops and the sights. What a street is like, you only know by walking it. TidyMap uses AI street imagery analysis and public facility data to turn each area's street environment and everyday convenience into something you can compare. Search an address and look at the street outside first.
How to read it: yellow = poor, blue = good; grey = not enough data
TidyMap rates the street environment and everyday convenience. It does not assess the home itself, safety, noise or actual living experience. Street environment scores use AI assessments of imagery; convenience scores use public facility data.
